It's Official
We are now officially white trash. The heat has gotten bad enough that I threw all proper decorum and breeding out the window, literally. My windows are now covered in beautiful metallic Mylar blankets (I knew our emergency kit would come in handy some day!). And you know what? I don't think it helped. It's ten o'clock at night and it is still 88 degrees inside my house. I am taking donations to buy a window air conditioner. Feel free to pay the money into my PayPal account.

Um... you totally got me excited to think that you officially have started your job. Dang. Sorry for the heat! You can come and stay with us if you'd like. It's just a hop skip and a jump over a pond...
There is nothing wrong with being a little white trash!! LOL!! I love it!! I think I still beat ya in the trash department with the 1978 trailer with foil on the windows!! LOL!! I hope you are getting cooled down.
Well, your not bathing/running around your own front lawn naked, so your still high class to me. Have you tried the actual "black-out" material from craft stores? Its reasonably cheap, and effective to a degree. There is also some type of window liner that you can get to use with the black out screen that absorbs the heat somehow (I regarded it as a work of miracle when I was introduced to it) and it keeps the window from getting hot to the touch. We used it in our nursery rooms in AZ because the kids kept getting burnt from the actual window panes.
Otherwise, I'm sorry your miserable! My other solution is to buy a small plastic pool, sit in it and eat popsicles all summer. That's all I got going for me right now.
Boy am I greatful for AC!! I am not a very nice person when I am hot. I don't think you are quite white trash yet, I don't see the baby boy wearing a wife beater yet. Anyhoo, get cooler, go to the pool.
