I finally got all the photos off my camera. So here are my 4th of July photos. I didn't edit any of them, as I didn't feel like it. So just edit them in your head to make them look nice.

And here is Alex getting his hair cut. He doesn't look happy, but most of the time he was actually laughing. I realized I never got a good after shot of the hair cut so I'll have to make sure to get one tomorrow!


I finished up a bunch more of my vacation LO's. I've finished all the ones I really wanted to do, and now I'm just debating a couple that I might do. I need to proofread them all and then it'll be off to the printer! I'm so excited to be done with it and see it printed out. So that's all I have for today. Have a good one!

I also just realized that I never posted our 4th of July pictures. But since the camera is downstairs and I'm too lazy to go get it, it'll just have to wait for another day.

I had a random thought today. We all take pictures all the time, and in those pictures we inadvertently get pictures of other people in the background. I wonder how many pictures I'm in all around this world? I thought it would be a cool thing to have a contest, that the first person I don't know who can find me in one of their photos would win a prize. But it would have to be a pretty good prize in order for people to waste their time searching all of their photos for one elusive person. But it was a fun thought anyways.

Anton gave Alex a haircut today. He used the clippers and now Alex looks totally butch. I don't like it. He doesn't look like a cute little boy. And again, I would post pictures, but too lazy, etc. etc.

Happy 4th of July!!

I made this LO a long time ago and never posted it. I thought it was appropriate for today:


We went to a pancake breakfast at church this morning. I had a good laugh because when we pulled up there were at least 6 BBQ's in the parking lot. Now what does one need a BBQ for at a pancake breakfast? Well, I guess here in the south they cook pancakes and eggs on a BBQ. I would think an electric griddle would be easier to transport and clean, but hey, what do I know? :o)

Yesterday was Alex's birthday. Here are a sampling of some of the many photos I took:

In order to double up on the decorations I did everything in red, white and blue. (Please ignore the messy floor!)

It took a little coaxing to get Alex to open his present, but once he realized there was paper ripping involved he was all over that!

We got him this little Tonka truck that makes noises and sings a song. He dances along, it's so cute. (He will be getting his dresser, the rest of his gift, sometime in the near future)

Here's my cake creation this time. It was hard to frost, the cake kept crumbling. Next time I'll freeze it first!

Alex really wanted to grab the candle and was mad that we wouldn't let him. Ella helped him blow it out.


He sure did enjoy eating his cake! It ended up going up his nose, which he didn't like, and I think it upset his stomach because he wouldn't sleep later. But he loved it while eating!
